Initiated by crisp-id, a young agency for product design, this project is a research experiment about materiality and matter in the realm of top gastronomy. In collaboration with the Gault-Millau and Michelin restaurant eisblume a very unique tableware collection originated.
The idea was to extend the philosophy of using carefully selected regional products in the kitchen to the materials used for plates and cups. Like this a guest can feel the origin, processing and the amount of expertise that went into the making and arrangement of his meal.
For a product film we documented the fabrication of this tableware from A to Z. By juxtaposing the industrial and gastronomical craft of working with raw-material and focusing the camera on people‘s hands you can see how all the pieces of this story come together.
